How Sweet it is…..
The SW MI Human Trafficking Task Force is finding that out after selling out of their first batch of soap. Yes, soap. They recently partnered with Opulent Blends out of Kalamazoo, to make a new 100 % natural paraffin free soap called: “The Sweet Smell of Surviving”. Each bar of soap takes a month to produce and is the blend of 2 essential oils (Lavender and Spearmint). The bar is packaged in a clear bag and tied with a blue ribbon, to represent the international color of human trafficking. The soap sell for $6.00 a bar or 2 for $10.00 and ALL of the proceeds go to the SW MI Human Trafficking Task Force, which in turn uses it for human trafficking awareness and educational events. This American made soap is really cleaning up, as it smells great, looks cool and is helping to raise awareness and funds for human trafficking in a new and innovative manner.
(P.S. Cathy, the founder of SWHTTF wrote this short soap write up for the MI HT Task Force blog.)
